October Fun

We have really had a great week.
Last Monday, we carved pumpkins with Erica's family. It was so much fun and the pumpkins looked great. The only problem is we did it too early and now the pumpkins are very sad looking!

My mom and I took Halle, Whitney and my niece Brittley to the Pumpkin Walk in North Logan. The weather was great and we beat the crowds. The theme this year was "Heroes". There were so many great scenes set up. My favorite thing was this fountain and pond made out of pumpkins. I would love to put one like it in my yard next fall!!

Of course, the girls loved having their pictures taken in the cut-outs.

My favorite scene at the pumpkin walk was Noah's Ark. We had to stand there for a long time to see all of the little details. The scene was put together by a couple of families and they did a GREAT job!

Other scenes from the pumpkin walk included firefighters, veggie tales, the ER, Andy Griffiths, Batman and a farm with the people who started the pumpkin walk. Halle loved the Dora pumpkin.

Scarecrow Festival

We had a great time at the Scarecrow Festival with Erica's Family and Linsey's family. We ran into my friend Russ and his cute family. The kids loved the inflatable toys and spent hours playing on them. We had some incredible Kettle Corn, played games, rode go carts and took lots of pictures. Thanks, Erica for letting us come.

Baby Shower for Kate

I can't wait for the arrival of Brooklyn. As Kate's sisters, we are giving her a baby shower on Sat. 10/25. We would love to have her family and friends join us!

Fall Break

On Thursday, we went with Stacey and her kids to lunch and a movie. We ate lunch at Tucahnos! We love that place. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it. They bring scewers of meat to the table and cut pieces off for you. I love the turkey wrapped in bacon, the garlic marinated beef, and the brown sugar pork. They also have grilled pineapple and vegetables. The buffet is unbeatable. The salad is fresh and full of variety. The mashed potatoes are incredible (lots of melted cheese). I also love the Brazilian Lemonade. YUMMY!

After lunch, we went to see City of Ember. I read the book a few weeks ago and was very excited for the movie. If you haven't read the book, yet, see the movie first. It strays from the book A LOT! It doesn't take time to develop the characters that I love from the book. I didn't care for most of the things that were changed or added. Stacey agreed with me. She was quite disappointed in it as well. I wish they would have stayed truer to Jeanne DuPrau's book. However, Scott, Kyrie, and Garrett liked the movie. So did Zach and Ashley, and they've read the book. So, check it out and let me know what you think!! I do recommend the book, you can find it in youth fiction.
