If my adorable Halle has one flaw, it would be the devastation she leaves in her wake. I have called her 'Hurricane Halle' for quite sometime now. She takes after her older sister, 'Whirlwind Whitney'. These pictures are just a small sample of her enormous destructive power. She was in full hurricane force on Saturday and when the storm settled, she fell asleep on the floor in the kitchen.
In other great news, Whitney finally lost her tooth!!! We've been trying to get rid of that thing for weeks. She was so excited about the gold dollar from the tooth fairy.

Fantastic Friday
We only rode a few rides today. The crowd was terrible. We decided to watch the parade, the fireworks (which were cancelled) and swim in the pool at the hotel. Whitney was brave, too, and went on Tower of Terror. It was a much more laid back day, even though we didn't leave the park until after 11:00 pm. It was a great time and we can't wait to come back again.

WICKED Wednesday!

Finally, a day to sleep in. We got ready and got to the beach around noon. We went to Newport and it was perfect beach weather. It was nice and warm with a slight breeze. Of course, the water was freezing, but my kids didn't mind. They had so much fun playing in the sand. The only problem was: the spray sunscreen ran out and I didn't realize it wasn't spraying much on Kyrie. She has a yucky sunburn, sorry Kyrie.
We went back to the hotel and got ready to go see Wicked. Our children received quite the education traveling down Hollywood Boulevard to the theater! I was so excited to see this show again. Kyrie got a Defying Gravity t-shirt and I got a witch hat key ring. Our seats weren't as good as I'd hoped, we were way far off to the side. But we could still see well. I was a little concerned because the part of Elphaba was played by the understudy. But I had nothing to worry about! This cast was AMAZING!!!! The wizard had a list of credits a mile long and was Wonderful (pun intended). His personality reminded me of Christopher Lloyd a little bit. Madame Morobal was played by Joanne Worley (from laugh-in and other tv stuff). I couldn't believe how awesome she was. Fiyero was from the original Broadway cast (need I say more?). Glinda was perfect. At times, she was a little like Marilyn Monroe with the sexy whisper. She loves to strike poses. And those high notes, WOW! But I think my favorite was the understudy. Her chest voice was incredible. Once in a while she had a little bit of rock sound in the runs and I was absolutely blown away. She doesn't sound like any other Elphaba I've heard before. I would love for her to take over the role permanantly on the touring company and come to Salt Lake next April. My favorite song was No Good Deed. It had some effects in it that weren't in the Denver show and with Elphaba's voice, it was beautiful. I can't wait to see it in SLC next year!

Monday, Monday

It was much cooler today. It felt good. We had another busy day. Kyrie's favorite thing today was Tower of Terror, even though she clung to my arm the entire time. Zach's favorite was Splash Mountain. Whitney's favorite was also Splash Mountain. Halle loved the Winnie the Pooh ride. Halle hated the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Scott's favorite was dinner with Ariel. My favorite was the second time on Tower of Terror, I didn't sit next to Kyrie.
The little girls and Scott went to dinner at Ariel's Grato with the Disney Princesses. They dressed up in their pretty yellow dresses and we did their hair pretty. They met Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White and Belle. They had a meal fit for a princess: Macaroni and Hot Dogs! Scott had fish and chips. It was another fun day.

Disneyland

So much fun today! We started with the Dumbo Ride. Halle loved it! We went on the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, and bought hats for the kids to keep the hot sun out of their eyes. We tried to go on small world, it's closed until Christmas. I stood in line to meet the princesses with Whitney and Halle while the others went to ride the Matterhorn. We went in to Toontown where we rode Roger Rabbit's Spinning Cars, Goofy told Whitney she was wanted on the phone, met Mickey Mouse, Halle had a temper tantrum in Chip and Dale's Treehouse (people kept staring at me because I was ignoring her!), and rode Gadget's Go Coaster. I taught Scott about Fast Passes and we used them to get on Big Thunder Mountain. We rode the Mark Twain River Boat, the Haunted Mansion, and went to eat and sleep at the hotel.
After a lovely rest, we returned to the park. This time, I convinced Scott we needed to go to one land and stay there! We decided to go to Tomorrowland. The kids rode the Astro Orbiter, we all went on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster which Halle LOVES, I took the older kids on Space Mountain, we saw "Honey I Shrunk the Audience," and Scott took the older kids on Star Tours. After watching Kyrie drive on Autopia, I will NEVER be riding with her in a car! We went back in to Fantasyland and rode Alice in Wonderland and Storybook Land before watching the Fireworks on Mainstreet.
Are you tired yet, cause we were exhausted. Halle slept through the fireworks and Whitney fell asleep in the car. Our hotel doesn't have shuttle to the park, so we created our own convenience. Scott drives us over to the park entrance and then drives back to the hotel and catches the city bus back to the park. It would have cost us $15 a day for the whole family to ride the bus. It's worked out pretty good.

Warmer than Utah
So, Saturday was better. We left the hotel by 6:30, Halle was up dressed and shoes on ready to go. We traveled from St. George to Anaheim by noon and check-in was not until 3:00. We drove around and purchased odds and ends that were forgotten- shoes, dental floss, etc. We were extremely happy when we came to our room and it smelled nice. The room is a kid's suite, so the kids have their own room with bunkbeds, TV, and a little table. They are in hotel heaven. They immediately wanted to go to the pool for a swim. Scott walked with the older kids over to Disneyland to get all of the passes. After dinner from California Pizza Kitchen, we called it a night. We needed our beauty sleep to look pretty for the princesses!
We were so exited to get out of Utah and away from snow! We got what we wished for! The Santa Anna winds are blowing and it is about 100 degrees here! We are now melting like the little snowmen we are!

This is a Vacation?

"Get your feet off me!!"
"I'm not touching you!"
"I want a pillow!"
"Save a horse, ride a cowboy--whoop, whoop!"
"We don't have any fat free dressings."
"They gave me a spoon to eat my salad."
"Get your feet off of me!"
"I'm not touching you!"
"When's it my turn to choose a movie?"
"Mommy, your mean."
"When will we be there?"
"I want out!"
"Mommy, I use your pillow, OK?"
"I'm still hungry."
"Whitney spilled her drink all over."
"Get your feet off of me!"
"Zach, if you touch her again, I'm going to put you on a bus home in St. George."
"How much longer?"
"Can I have a sandwich?" "Me, too." "I want one, too." "Me, too."
"....Greased Lightning."
"Do you like Aerosmith?" "No."
"This room smells like cigarette smoke."
"Don't take off your shoes in this hotel room."
"This room really stinks."
"Can we get a different hotel?"
"I said don't take off your shoes."
"Wash the remote with a wetwipe before you touch it."
"This room stinks really bad."
"I don't think it's safe here. What if someone comes through the balcony door and kills us?"
"Thank you for getting a different room daddy!"
"Good night. I love you mommy!"

California, Here We Come!
The reason I put the poll of the Disneyland rides is because we are leaving on Friday to go to Disneyland. I can't wait, I'm so tired of the cold weather. I'm even more excited that next Wed. we are going to see Wicked. Kyrie and Zach are going with me to see it. Kyrie is so excited, she has wanted to see Wicked since last May when I saw it in Denver with Stacey. We haven't been to Disneyland since Kyrie was in kindergarten. Her favorite ride was Small World. We had to go on it first thing when we arrived, once during the day, and once before we left for the day (for 3 days in a row). I wouldn't be surprised if Halle is that way this trip. I can't wait to see Halle's face when she sees Minnie Mouse (she is on the Huggies diapers and Halle loves her). I must say, though, my favorite ride is Splash Mountain. I love Brer Rabbit and 'Zipp-a-dee Doo-Dah." I wish Disney would release Song of the South on DVD!

I saw this on Natalie's blog and took the quiz. I'm extremely happy with my results. I have loved George Clooney since the good old ER days!
