Dude, Where's My Class?

OK, so have you have had a moment where an opportunity presents itself and you just can't pass it up? Well just such an opportunity came to me yesterday, and I had to take it.

Friday, during 5th grade specialty, I ran across the hall for a minute to talk to a student about musical. Mr. Francis was suppose to be in the class, but he had gone to the office. After talking to our "Erzulie," I went back to my room. As I reached the door, I just couldn't stand it. I had to go back! I went back to Mrs. Crockett's class and said, "We're playing a trick on Mr. Francis. Come with me!" I hustled them all in to my room w/ Mrs. Decker's class. They sat down quietly to watch a scene from a musical.

What happened next, is like a 'priceless' commercial. I watched through the window on my door for Mr. Francis to come back. When he did, he peeked through the window first to "check" on them. He did a double take when he saw the room empty. (Meanwhile, I'm telling the kids what's going on.) He walked in the room for a few seconds and came back out. He stood in the hall with his hands on his hips looking up and down the hall. He turned around and walked into Miss Hone's room. He quickly returned to the hall with the most confused look on his face. He went straight down to Mrs. Cannon's room, sure that she was the culprit. (sorry, Jessie!) When he didn't find them there, he went to find Mrs. Crockett and confess that he'd lost her class.
After a small moment of confusion, Mrs. Crockett knew exactly where they were and came to peek in my window. I motioned for her to come in and we all had a really good laugh!! I'm still chuckling, even as I write this!

The only problem is, now I've added Mr. Francis to the list of people who've vowed to get me back.

On a more solemn note, Mr. Amendola leaves tomorrow for Kuwait. I had a good visit with him at the end of school today. We will miss you Rex, take care!

My class thought that was the funniest thing in the world! Unfortunately for you, Mr. Francis has my entire class plotting on how to get you back. HAHA! (But don't worry, nothing they've come up with so far is any good.)

We laughed and laughed about that one. Watch out for Jed!

Jed has played so many tricks on Jessie, I think he suspected her because he knew he deserved it from her. That's a classic, well done! BTW, I need to sign Brunner's super-trendy hall pass!
